The team at Wine & Vine strives to be the neighborhood restaurant where everyone feels comfortable and welcome. This concept is the brain–child of Hank & Beth Dreyer, residents of Elmhurst.

ABOUT THE OWNERS
Hank & Beth are a newly–wed couple who share a common love for great food and wine — ask Hank about his proposal on the Chef's Platform. They met in the summer of 2007 and made the Wine & Vine concept official when the restaurant opened in July, 2008.

Executive Chef Hank Dreyer discovered his love for entertaining and desire to showcase his cooking talents at the tender age of thirteen, when he entered the restaurant business. He honed his skills at the renowned Culinary Institute of America. Hank has played every role in the industry, from dishwasher to Executive Chef to Managing Partner.

For wine connoisseur Beth Dreyer's entire adult life, her passion has been enjoying and collecting fine wines from around the world. She has traveled extensively throughout the wine regions of California and the Pacific Northwest. Many of the wines found in the Shoppe are personal favorites and come with their own stories of the winemaker or the winery itself.

The priority at Wine & Vine is to provide our guests with a quality dining experience. Our focus is fresh, savory food, and great service.

The majority of our wait staff has been in the industry for several years and knows how to serve a customer. The entire staff (everyone 21 and over) attends regular wine training sessions provided by our wine vendors and the owners.

Our staff is encouraged to try different wines so they are able to answer that tricky question about which wine goes with an entree. Choosing a good wine is a matter of personal taste. But at Wine & Vine, all you need to know is your own taste preference and budget and we can take it from there.
